Imagine being in a coma,
Trapped in a shell of flesh and bone,
Your own body your coffin in which you are nailed shut,
Yet you can't die,
Machines keeping you alive,
Breathing for you,
Your soul inside this beating body,
Yet feigning a false life,
A sick, bitter, twisted image of its former self.

Can you imagine what it would be like if you were comatose,
Or unable to move,
Your body being basically dead,
Yet your mind is all there,
Thinking, hearing, listening and interpreting everything around you,
Yet you can do nothing,
You couldn't respond if you wanted to,
It would drive you insane.

Would you want to die?
Or hold onto this imitation of life,
Whilst you pray in this numb casket,
To be free of the wires, an sockets hooking you up to life,
Hoping for a chance of waking,
Able to return as normal as possible to your previous life,
If that's even possible.
Can you imagine what it would be like if you were comatose, Or unable to move, Your body being basically dead, Yet your mind is all there...
Would it drive you insane?

Obviously this is a very brief light look at only one side of coma incidents, but any views/insights you wish to share please do.
hope you enjoy.
